Thoughtographic Transmissions in the Developer Tray

Below are three results that I got today experimenting with thoughtographic transmissions throughout the fingertips onto photographic paper in the very developer tray. Letting my fingertips flow over the photographic paper in the developer fluid I concentrated onto different states of mind like anger, fear and affection, until my hands would lift themselves and the state of mind was vanished. Each experiment took not more than a couple of minutes.

I tried to do some more experiments this afternoon, but I didn’t get any visible results.

The Traveling Envelope: Berlin-London-Berlin

This is the story of an envelope inhabited by three sheets of photographic paper that I send to my friend Masumi in London. As part of our thoughtographic experiments she took the envelope on a journey out and about london to let it absorb its ever changing environment including thoughts, smells, tastes, sounds etc. Tomorrow I will develop the three travellers and I am very curious what will come out! Thank you Masumi!

Workshop at Worm in Rotterdam: Screening the Results

Late but at least !at all!, I can publish one video that I was shared thankfully by Maria Botella, via Judith (THANK YOU!).
It shows the evening screening at Worm: 4 Projectors reveal several 16 mm thoughtographic film loops, which have been exposed by very fluid participants throughout a very inspiring and funny day !! Thank you all!! And especially Esther from Worm for all chemicals, materials, darkroom & hot soup support!
I hope there will be more results soon to be shown, but a crashed computer and missing internet doesn’t help….

Katier presents: 3rd Dec. at Worm in Rotterdam

The air itself is one vast library, on whose pages are for ever written all that man has ever said or woman whispered and the ‘earth, air and ocean are the eternal witnesses of the acts we have done’.

Light – Subtraction- Infrared

cmy.jpg

subtraktivefarbmischung.jpg

As I already mentionned before, my next experiments will include light as a carrier for the exposure of the magnetic fluidum. I have already been oversaturating photographic paper with direct sunlight over a period of a week. Although I received some not uninteresting patterns, it felt a little bit too easy and too obvious: Light plus light sensitive material = exposure. But maybe light can be a carrier, and behind the obvious exposure there might be something else?

However, this is exactly the point where I sometimes feel stuck in my investigations: The question of obviousness.

To be able to carry out my experiments more light headed, and to free my investigations of the unavoidable obstacle of a scientific versus paranormal discussion, I decided to claim this magnetic fluidum as existing. I also try to avoid either part of these two opponents. This phenomena shouldn’t be neither scientific nor paranormal. The experiments don’t have to be repeatably successful to proof its existence, the proof lies in the beauty of its impredictable exposure.

But to come back to my earlier question of obviousness: does it also mean that it might expose itself under any circumstances?

However, the next step will be to work with filters. Due to a major misunderstanding while communicating my idea about working with the infrared spectrum to a friend of mine, I ordered the wrong filter combination. But let’s have a look to which spectrum it will give access. The primary idea is, to build a filter box, and to trap the fluidum inside the box onto different kind of film or paper materials. Soon to be published here!

Thoughtographic Experiments – Angelic helmet

Here is one of the results, made throughout our Tempelhof investigations with the so called Angelic Helmet constructed by Jonny and Mr. Pickledfeet. Katier hallucinating through the power of the earthmagnetic field created by jonny turning and turning and turning the wheel…

Thoughtographic Experiments: Peenemuende and Tempelhof

Below are some results of my experiments throughout a short trip to Peenemuende and an excursion to Tempelhof airport.
In Peenemuende, I hid photograpic paper in a development tank and left it on its own, floating in the sea, slowly filling itself with water, sand and luckily none of the hundreds of fiery jellyfish. After some twenty minutes I fished out the tank and took it home filled with lots of Peenemuende sea water, to later develop it in my newly installed laboratory.

The images of the trip to former airport Tempelhof are the result of an originally sealed and hidden photographic paper attached to a tree, that had been stripped open – in my absence – by some curious or suspecting person. He or she must have been very dissapointed with their findings and left the sensitive paper and its former wrapping like some rubbish in the bushes.

I took them home, and developed them expecting them to come out completely black, but as you can see: A curios result for lightsensitive paper that has been entirely exposed to light for quite some time, that incourages my plan to include light in my future thoughtographic investigations.
